Caring: A Teaching and Learning Practice that Impact Student Success
This highly engaging workshop examines the perceived characteristics of a caring faculty member from the perspectives of both students and faculty members. Participants will observe and analyze the discrepancy between what students need from a caring faculty member and what students may experience, including the social and emotional impact on learning. Faculty feedback from students is key to faculty teaching efficacy and influencing those caring characteristics that support student success. Join this session and learn at least seven (7) caring strategies for faculty feedback that will promote the achievement of student learning outcomes. (1.0 – 2.0 hours)
