Developing Self-Directed Learners in the Blended and Hybrid Classroom
As traditional classroom settings evolve, faculty members are challenged to teach their face-to-face classes in a blended or hybrid format and still meet the instructional needs of diverse students who may be underprepared for middle school or high school and digital learning. Students will need to become self-directed learners as they too transition to different modalities of course delivery. This informative workshop for faculty teaching grades 6-12 provides strategies for developing self-directed learners in the blended and hybrid classroom. Participants in this online workshop will learn how to help students to persist in their studies, plan their approach to assignments, self-assess their work, and take ownership of their learning strengths and preferences as faculty and students both adjust to changing educational dynamics.
