Students have embraced Generative AI as an educational tool in human learning, and faculty will have to think differently about how they design assignments. Kickstart your AI journey by exploring the essentials, challenges and benefits of setting clear expectations for responsible use of AI to support teaching and learning. Participants in this hands-on and informative workshop will develop skills in designing and creating assignments that effectively leverage AI (requiring students to think), and assignments that are AI resistant (structured to prevent students from using AI). Tools will be provided to assist faculty with using AI to write effective prompts, create instructional materials, generate resources to support student learning, and craft engaging course content. Be prepared to interact with fellow colleagues to discuss how AI is being used across disciplines. (1.0 -1.5 hours)
